What is it like to live on the golf in Sun City Anthem?
The golf comes to you. Holes from Revere Golf Club's two public courses, Lexington and Concord, run through Sun City Anthem, so many homes back onto a fairway or look across one, and nobody has to join a club. Revere is its own business, not part of the HOA, and it sells an annual pass for Sun City Anthem residents.
There is more golf on either side. Sun City Anthem sits between Serket Golf Club (formerly Rio Secco), a public Rees Jones course in Seven Hills, and the private Anthem Country Club, so public and private golf are both a short drive away.
Everything else is classic Del Webb. About 7,100 single-story homes, built from 1998 to 2008, share three resident centers: Anthem Center, the largest; Independence Center, with its 300-seat theater; and Liberty Center, with warm-water pools. More than 60 clubs keep the calendar full.
Homes run from the attached Villas to larger single-family plans on view lots. Pinnacle Village is gated, and the Villas pay higher dues because the association covers more of the outside. One association, the Sun City Anthem Community Association, runs the whole community.
Since the courses are not the HOA's, the future of the holes behind a home is up to the course owner, so ask what is planned near the home before you pay more for the view. If you want a private club with no age rule, Anthem Country Club is in the same master plan, and the smaller Solera at Anthem is another 55+ choice nearby.
